A Wider Circle to Honor Congressman Jamie Raskin at Fall Fundraiser
The Silver Spring-based non-profit will recognize Congressman Raskin’s work on behalf of those in need at Neighbor to Neighbor Night on October 5.
Washington, DC – October 2, 2023 – A Wider Circle, a local non-profit organization dedicated to advancing equity and addressing poverty’s root causes, has announced that it will honor Maryland Congressman Jamie Raskin this week at their annual gala, Neighbor to Neighbor Night.
Neighbor to Neighbor Night will take place this Thursday, October 5 at 6:30 pm at A Wider Circle’s Ann & Don Brown Center for Community Service in Silver Spring. In addition to an inspiring program highlighting the organization’s work and honoring Congressman Raskin, the event will also include a cocktail hour, a seated dinner, and a live auction.
“The theme for this year’s Neighbor to Neighbor Night is ‘Celebrating Our Circle of Community Champions,’ and we are thrilled to honor Congressman Raskin,” shared Amy Javaid, President & CEO of A Wider Circle. “Throughout his career, he has been a steadfast champion for those in our community experiencing poverty, and he has also been a longtime champion of A Wider Circle’s work.
