Summer Internship Opportunity: Volunteer Program Assistant

The A Wider Circle (AWC) Summer of Service volunteer program will give rising high school seniors the unique opportunity to spend the summer working behind the scenes with AWC staff.

Position Overview
As a Volunteer Program Assistant, you’ll work closely with our dedicated Volunteer Staff, gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit operations. Here’s what you’ll be involved in:

  • Volunteer Coordination: Assist in leading and organizing volunteer teams. You’ll be the driving force behind creating a welcoming and efficient volunteer experience.
  • Donation Management: Help sort and stock donations in our showroom. Your efforts directly contribute to furnishing 10-20 homes daily for families in need.
  • Administrative Tasks: Contribute to the smooth functioning of our programs by handling administrative duties.
  • Project Collaboration: Work on ongoing projects and even lead select initiatives. You’ll have the support of our experienced volunteer team staff.

Training & Support:

Commitment & Schedule

  • Internship Duration: The A Wider Circle Summer of Service program spans 5 weeks, from June 24th to July 26th, 2024 with the option for interns to continue to August 2 to gain additional service hours..
  • Weekly Commitment: Interns will participate in 10- 15 hours of service per week.
