A Note From Amy
Before you fully disappear into summer mode — out-of-office replies on, beach chairs unpacked, and the eternal debate over whether traffic is worse leaving town on Thursday night or Friday morning (I know, I know – you’re just going to “check emails occasionally”) — I wanted to share something important happening here at A Wider Circle.
In our 25th year, we’re seeing one of the greatest surges in need we’ve ever experienced. More children are sleeping on floors, older adults are struggling to afford basic essentials, and requests for beds are at record levels. Summer is part of what drives this — families move, housing shifts, and already fragile situations become more urgent.
That’s the reality. But it’s also something we can change together.
This month, your investment goes twice as far. In honor of our 25th anniversary, a group of generous supporters will match every gift made in June, dollar for dollar, up to $250,000 — helping us say “yes” to more families when the need is highest.
Thank you for being part of this community and for showing up for your neighbors in such real, tangible ways.

Home Reimagined
With the support of sponsors, designers, movers, and in-kind partners, we transformed 50 homes across the DMV in a single day — filling them with new furniture, fresh starts, and a whole lot of care. Thank you to all who helped make Home Reimagined possible.

Housing First Partners Conference
Our team presented at the Housing First Partners Conference — a national gathering of leaders working to end homelessness through safe, stable housing.
We shared A Wider Circle’s research on furniture poverty and the measurable impact furniture has on housing stability and quality of life for families transitioning into homes.
Suited for Success Graduation
Our Career Support program, in partnership with the DC Office of the Attorney General, recently celebrated the latest Suited for Success graduation — honoring participants who have worked hard to prepare for new career opportunities after facing significant barriers. Through holistic, person-centered support, participants build on their strengths, skills, and lived experience to pursue meaningful employment that offers both stability and long-term growth.

A Wider Circle Yard Sale
Connect with our community while supporting a great cause! All proceeds will benefit A Wider Circle’s programs and services, helping individuals and families in need throughout our region. We will have outdoor items, sporting equipment, toys, inflatables, etc.
