Helaine Guilliams is a proud, life-long resident of Montgomery County, having been educated in the County’s public schools, and is now working and raising her three children here. Helaine is also a mother to four “bonus” children by way of her remarriage four years ago.
Helaine is a graduate of the University of Maryland where she earned Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
Helaine has had a long career in banking, and she joined M&T Bank in 2008. She currently holds a management position in the Montgomery County Business Banking Division. Through her position at the Bank, Helaine has found the perfect professional environment to marry her enthusiasm for helping small business owners with her love of giving back to the community. She was an active Executive Vice President with the Corporate Volunteer Council of Montgomery County for five years prior to joining A Wider Circle’s board.
Helaine chairs a committee within M&T Bank to help over 200 families in the Kennedy Cluster of Silver Spring during the holidays by providing gifts, non-perishable food items, grocery gift cards, and holiday cheer to families in need. This marks the third year of the program, which partners with the Corporate Volunteer Council, and was formerly managed by A Wider Circle.
