Amira El-Gawly is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of 360 Live Media, a marketing and experience design agency she helped build in Washington, D.C. Amira’s creativity, leadership talent and unique approach to designing human-centered experiences has led to the success of 360 Live Media as an award-winning company, which she is proud to share has been named one of Washington’s Top 10 Best Places to Work.
Amira’s principle focus today is to shape and direct 360 Live Media’s brand, culture and marketing efforts, lead strategic product development for the agency, and serve as a strategic advisor for client initiatives. Amira also leads the agency’s community relationships and pro bono engagements with a range of nonprofits including The Catalogue for Philanthropy, A Wider Circle, Turning the Page and Access Youth.
Throughout her career, Amira has gone from the cacophony of Cairo’s streets, to the buzzing digital newsroom of the Washington Post, through underprivileged areas in Southeast Asia and Africa, and into the boardrooms of industrial corporations in the United Arab Emirates. Her globetrotting has instilled in her a passion for creating meaningful change in the community and people around her. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from The American University in Cairo and a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Corporate Communications from Georgetown University.
When she’s not supporting the growth of the organizations she serves, Amira loves to discover beauty and joy in the world and people around her. A voracious reader, avid traveler and lover of space, she aims to bring more beauty to her community.
